About Us

Volunteer Behavioral Health (VBH) is a non-profit, CARF-accredited community behavioral health organization located throughout the beautiful state of Tennessee. VBH has provided services to adults, children, and families with mental illness, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders for 60+ years.

VBH's Children's Services provide comprehensive mental health care for children and adolescents. Outpatient services include individual, family, and group therapy, specializing in various conditions like ADHD and depression.

VBH offers comprehensive substance use treatment and recovery services, encompassing outpatient counseling, intensive outpatient programs, and specialized adolescent treatments.

Crisis Services

VBH's Crisis Services offer 24/7 assistance for adults experiencing mental health emergencies. The services include a crisis hotline (1-800-704-2651), information, phone counseling, and face-to-face crisis evaluations.

Peer Services

VBH's Peer Recovery Services offer supportive environments and resources for individuals recovering from addiction and co-occurring disorders.

Specialty Grant Services

The Research and Evaluation team plays a crucial role in managing data and assessments forvarious specialty grants. Serving as the central hub for all specialty grant data information, the team tracks reporting needs, collaborates with external evaluation teams, and aids in data collection.
