MHCA, a national association of high performing behavioral healthcare service provider organizations, has announced election of Chris Wyre, MBA to chair its board of directors and lead the organization in 2014.
Wyre is CEO of Volunteer Behavioral Health Care System in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Wyre first joined mhca in 1994 as CEO of The Guidance Center. As CEO of Volunteer BHCS he has continued his active participation in the organization. He has served on the mhca Board of Directors since 2006 and been on its Executive Committee since 2009.
Volunteer is one of six Tennessee behavioral healthcare organizations in the national association. In all 32 states are represented in mhca with a full membership of 134. Membership in mhca is by invitation and applies primarily to the CEO with some programs targeting top management staff. The association’s projects, products, services and relationships promote continual improvement of behavioral healthcare service to citizens from all walks of life. The association provides unique opportunities for CEOs to enhance their professional effectiveness and to capitalize on entrepreneurial possibilities.
