Mobile Crisis Response
VBH’s community-based crisis response services include the Mobile Crisis Response Teams. The Mobile Crisis Response Teams assist individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. They provide crisis intervention services in various community settings, including emergency rooms, physician offices, jails, and homes. The teams conduct assessments and develop treatment plans based on the immediate safety needs of the individual experiencing the crisis. VBH provides Mobile Crisis Response services for 50+ counties throughout the Middle, Southeast, and Upper Cumberland regions of Tennessee.
Crisis Walk-In Centers (WIC)
Crisis Walk-in Centers are available at VBH’s Cookeville, Chattanooga, and Murfreesboro campuses, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Treatment professionals and medical staff evaluate and assist anyone experiencing a mental health crisis. Services may include a mental health assessment, referrals to services, and follow-up services.
Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU)
VBH’s Crisis Stabilization Units are in Chattanooga,Cookeville, and Murfreesboro. Each CSU is a non-hospital facility with medically supervised, short-term, intensive mental health treatment offered 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The CSU provides a place for individuals to receive respite and obtain stability while the staff supports families during psychiatric crises. Services are voluntary and free.
