Polly Stamper is currently the medical clerical assistant in our Athens office,
“I was born in Athens, attended Ingleside and North City Elementary schools, McMinn County High School, and TN Wesleyan College. My education acquired in Athens prepared me well to serve the communities in the various states where I have lived.”
Polly stated, “I taught for 30 years in Public School systems. I taught business, typing, english, history and math for grades 7-12 and Adults. I have taught in TN, AL, KY, MS, and VA.”
Polly was hired on August 27th, 1993. She has worn a few hats during her time with Volunteer including; Counseling, Supported Employment and the Alcohol and Drug Grant Program (Athens and Cleveland).
Polly is married with two children. She spends her time volunteering by tutoring, Participating in The Western Branch H.S. Band Boosters; Pearl High School Band Boosters; Speech Competition sponsor-DAR and The Optimist Club
She has memberships with Alpha Delta Kappa; FBLA-member & Sponsor; Coordinated FBLA /Administrative Personnel for future employment opportunities for students. She also volunteers at her church
as a teacher; Children’s Church leader; Mission organization leader, Adult Choir member and organist/pianist
In 1993 Polly was recognized as The Who’s Who American Teacher
Polly’s hobbies include:
Farming -She and her husband share the farmed food with family & friends
Canning/freezing
Reading
Cruising/Traveling
Music (Organ and Piano)
In the past she:
Owned and operated a Pre-school in KY and hosted a foreigh exchange student.
