HOMELESS SERVICES
M.A.S.H. (Mission Accomplished Stable Housing)
The M.A.S.H. program provides supportive services to low-income veteran families at risk of homelessness or experiencing homelessness. It is funded by the Veterans Administration (VA) through Supportive Services for Veterans Families (SSVF), a national program that provides guidance and oversight to our M.A.S.H. program. This grant allows VBH to assist qualifying veteran families by providing supportive services to promote housing stability. M.A.S.H. participates in Coordinated Entry and proudly serves:

PATH (Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness)
This program helps identify and assist individuals experiencing homelessness with a mental illness, substance use, or co-occurring disorder that has been untreated for at least six months. The program funds community-based outreach services to connect individuals to mental health, substance abuse, and case management assistance. It also offers limited housing services. PATH participates in Coordinated Entry, and case managers provide PATH services in Murfreesboro, Chattanooga, Cookeville and McMinn, Meigs, Monroe, and Loudon counties.

SOAR (SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access, and Recovery)
SOAR is a process embedded within the PATH and Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) team. SOAR provides an expedited process to obtain social security approval for individuals with a mental illness or co-occurring disorder who are experiencing homelessness. VBH coordinates SOAR services throughout the Middle, Southeast, and Upper Cumberland regions of Tennessee, providing SOAR certification training and support for outside agencies. VBH staff complete a limited number of SOAR applications each year.

Rural Rapid Rehousing (RRH)
The Rural Rapid Rehousing program provides rehousing services and assistance for low-income people experiencing homelessness. The RRH Case Manager is funded by the Chattanooga Regional Continuum of Care (CoC). RRH participates in Coordinated Entry. VBH’s RRH program covers Bradley, Polk, McMinn, Rhea, Meigs, Grundy, Sequatchie, Marion, Franklin, and Bledsoe counties.
Hamilton County Rural Rapid Rehousing and Continuum of Care
The Housing First Rapid Rehousing Grant program delivers swift rehousing services to low-income individuals facing homelessness. VBH actively participates in Coordinated Entry and covers Hamilton County.
